Sibbesborg - Sustainable community

During 2011, the municipality of Sipoo hosted an international competition for sustainable community development, in cooperation with its associates. The competition was supported by Tekes, through its Sustainable Community programme.

The competition area is situated in the south part of Sipoo, approximately 30 kilometres from the centre of Helsinki. the area is divided by a main transport route, the Porvoonväylä motorway. The highest concentration of population and services are to be found in the centre of Söderkulla.
