Sibbesborg - Sustainable community

During 2011, the municipality of Sipoo was to host an international competition for sustainable community development, in co-operation with its associates. The competition was supported by Tekes, through its Sustainable Community programme.

The competition area is situated in the south part of Sipoo, approximately 30 kilometres from the centre of Helsinki. It is bisected by its main transport route, the Porvoonväylä motorway. The highest concentration of population and services are to be found in the centre of Söderkulla.

The Sibbesborg competition awards have been decided. The results were announced at the competition awards ceremony 16th January 2012, view on-line video of the ceremony.

The Local Master Plan of Sibbesborg
The competition is over and it is time to move on. We are going to begin to plan together with officers, politicians and the winners of the competition the local master plan. The municipality of Sipoo is arranged two workshops in April 2012, one was for officers of municipality of Sipoo and the other was for politicians. The aim of these workshops was to establish the frames to Sibbesborg local master plan.
